Home Shifting in Mumbai
Shifting a house is not only about carrying boxes. Clothes, kitchen items, glass, electronics, beds, wardrobes and a hundred small things all have to reach the new place safely, and the family has to sleep there the same night. That is the job we do — and we plan it so your day does not go into chaos.
A normal 1 BHK or 2 BHK shift inside Mumbai is finished in one day. We reach in the morning, pack everything room by room, load the tempo, drive to your new address, unload, fix the furniture back and open the boxes you need first — bedding, kitchen and bathroom. Bigger homes may take two days, and we tell you that before you book, not on the day of shifting.
What is included
- Free visit to your home to see the goods and give a fixed price
- All packing material — cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film, blankets and tape
- Room-wise packing with labels, so unpacking is easy at the new place
- Opening and refixing of bed, wardrobe, dining table and TV unit
- Careful carrying by lift, or by stairs with extra men when there is no lift
- Closed tempo or truck as per the quantity of goods
- Unloading, keeping items in the right rooms and taking away waste packing
How we protect your goods
Fridge and washing machine are wrapped in blankets and film so the body does not get scratched. TV and mirrors get double bubble wrap and, for bigger sizes, a wooden crate. Crockery and glass are wrapped one by one and packed standing, not flat. Beds and sofas are covered fully, because in Mumbai buildings the biggest risk is a scratch on the staircase wall or railing.
Please tell us before booking
- Floor number at both places, and whether a lift is available
- Whether the society allows shifting on your date and time
- Any very heavy item — piano, big almirah, glass table, gym cycle
- If parking is far from the building gate
These four points decide how many men and how much time the job needs. When we know them early, the price we give you does not change later.
Small tips that save you money
Give away or sell what you do not use — every extra carton adds cost. Avoid the last three days of the month if you can; that is the busiest time in Mumbai and vehicles are costly. And keep your important papers, jewellery and medicines in one bag that stays with you.
